My name is Kenneth Paul Boudreaux. I was born and reared in Lafayette, Louisiana. I am a member of Louisiana Avenue United Methodist Church located at 2700 Louisiana Avenue.  I am a proud graduate of Northside Senior High School and the University of Southwestern Louisiana.

Reflecting from my youth to present time, I have always been a motivated individual; one who likes to inspire others, encourage them and, when called upon, share thoughts and give advice.

I am passionate about issues on leadership, cultural diversity, non-violence, esteem building, drug, alcohol and substance prevention, black history, community action, parenting, education, relationships, motivating people and more prevalent in today’s schools ... bullying. Some of these familiarities I relate to in my own personal experiences and consequently from that, I have founded "TO THE FRONT TO THE TOP"-CONSULTANTS, LLC a motivational, speaking and consulting organization that I provide as a learning, training and development tool for individuals, families and businesses.

I work with youth, adult and professional organizations to encourage and promote positive life choices in the hopes of having positive effects. My wish is to instill cohesiveness between the adult sector and the younger generation by working with them with an open mind and an unlimited vision at meeting each other’s needs.

I have personally founded, and host, two radio talk shows KRRQ Q95.5 Teen Talk Show Holla Back and KNEK Magic 104.7, The Community Hour. Both of these shows are recognized as the most valuable and informative programs in their respective markets. I have been quoted in newspaper and magazine articles, appeared at schools from elementary to college levels, and at organized church and community events. When asked by others how I see myself, I tell them I am an ever-present communicator.

The fruits of my labor have resulted in many awards that have come my way. I am the recipient of Big Brothers, Big Sisters "Brother of the Year" Award in 1991; two-time Kiwanis Club “Citizen of the Year; Omega Psi Phi "Man of the Year"; City of Lafayette Police Department Civilian Award'; "Outstanding Young Man State of Louisiana, Lafayette" Jaycees; the Honorary Attorney General Award; NAUW Tribute to Excellence; an EUTHU Honoree; Louisiana Girls and Guys Rock I Rock Honoree; Christiana Smith African American Alumni Chapter of UL Lafayette Outstanding Graduate Award, among others.

These awards are an honor to me and I do not take them lightly. Those who know me know that I go through life not to win awards or garner fame; I do this because I had a solid foundation in my upbringing and, today, am very blessed.

Although we have nine council districts throughout Lafayette parish, I have attempted to represent the best interest of all Lafayette families, businesses and communities when called upon. To that, I say it has been a great honor and I am thankful.

I compare my professional development to a "full circle in motion", a continual evolution of communication through all medium of public access resources.

I am active in local churches, schools, Brown Park Association, Neighborhood Coterie Groups, as well as other volunteer service organizations.

As an elected councilman, I have taken advantage of the opportunity to listen, learn, lead and most importantly - serve. I have established an exceptional record for returning constituents phone calls; attend meetings and keeping up with my appointments.

On a local level, I am a seven-time Finance Chairman over all Lafayette Consolidated Government budget hearings and five times named Professional Services Chairman over contracts. During my tenure, I secured millions of dollars' worth of capital projects and needed improvements for our community. I have had the honor of being elected by my colleagues as Council Chairman for the 2011, 2015 and 2017 calendar years. I am one of only two people to serve as Chairman three times since consolidation.

I am an active member of the Louisiana Municipal Association and the National League of Cities. I have served on numerous committees, and am most proud that I was named Region 13 Director of NBC-LEO constituency group of the National League of Cities. I am also appointed to The National Energy, Environment and Natural Resources (EENR).

Currently I am focusing on my consultant business "TO THE FRONT TO THE TOP"-CONSULTANTS, LLC radio programs and council position.  Previously, I served 20 years in the 15th Judicial District in the District Attorney's Office, as the Director of Youth Services and Programs.

And, if you ask me to sum up the big picture of life, I always say that, ultimately, I am working for eternal life in God's kingdom.
